I enjoy working with Anna on weddings and I’m more than happy to feature her and introduce her great body of work to you!

Can you share a bit about yourself? How did you get started in wedding photography?

My name is Anna, and I have been involved with photography in some way or another since I was a child after receiving my first camera at 8 years old. I took a few photography courses in high school and college and from there focused on landscape photography as I traveled across the US visiting National Parks upon graduating college. I then moved to Colorado and transitioned into couples’ photography which blossomed into elopement and wedding photography which is where I’m at today.

What do you love most about photographing weddings?

I love all of the emotion that weddings bring and being able to capture that is truly special. I enjoy focusing on all the small details and interactions that others might miss but tell the story of the couple and their uniqueness.

What’s your favorite part of working with couples on their wedding day?

I love getting to know my couples on a personal level before their actually wedding day. Then on wedding day, I get to meet their entire family and the whole picture of who they are really comes to life which is my favorite part. Though the couple is always the star of the show, I view weddings as a family affair and emphasize capturing moments of the entire family together and interacting.

What advice would you give to couples who are choosing their wedding photographers?

When choosing a wedding photographer, the two most important factors in my experience are editing style and overall personality compatibility. The first seems obvious, but the later might be even more important. Your photographer will be with you the entire day and can really make or break your wedding day experience. I personally tend to be easy going and bring more of a relaxed, friendly, and calm presence and understand that might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Why do you think having a second photographer is beneficial for couples?

I tend to shoot solo most of the time, but a second shooter can be extremely valuable. Of course, a single photographer can’t be in two places at once, so a second shooter allows for more coverage of the day as well as overall variety to your gallery capturing more angles.

What inspires you most about capturing love stories?

My simplest answer is I just love, love. Everyone has a unique love, and I get to observe and capture that for my job, how cool is that! It is so much fun getting to know what love is like between my couples and showcase that emotion through my work.

Some of Her Work

What’s one thing you wish every couple knew about wedding photography?

I wish couples would better understand that photography should not be the main focus of their wedding day which might sound counterintuitive coming from a wedding photographer. At the end of the day, your wedding day is about you, your future spouse, and your family. The photos are there to be a reminder of that day encompassing the overall feeling, not to be the most posed and photogenic images as I’m assuming you and your family are real people and not models. My goal is for my couples to see their wedding gallery and have a wave of emotion come over them like they felt on that day.

How can couples get in touch with you if they’d like to see more of your work?

Couples can get ahold of my easily through my website, email, or by phone.
