There are few people I trust behind the lens as much as Lina Cruz. Lina of Lina’s Candids isn’t just a talented photographer—she’s an essential part of my team. We started our photography journeys around the same time, and since then, she’s built a name for herself with her ability to capture raw, unscripted moments with effortless artistry. As my go-to photographer for couples and engagement sessions in South Florida, she ensures my clients get the same high-quality experience even when I’m not in Miami. When it comes to South Florida weddings, she steps in as my second photographer, seamlessly complementing my style and making sure no special moment goes unnoticed.
Creativity has always been at the core of who Lina is. I’ve known her for almost 20 years, and even long before she picked up a professional camera, she had an artist’s eye, whether she was sketching, coloring, or constantly capturing moments for social media (which, yes, I teased her about relentlessly). But that habit of always seeing and documenting beauty turned out to be the foundation of her photography today.

When my family and I first moved to Colorado, Lina was the first of our friends to visit. During that trip, she told me she had just bought her first professional camera and was diving into photography, right around the same time I upgraded from my nearly 10-year-old DSLR. Since then, we’ve been each other’s sounding boards; sharing ideas, talking shop, and refining our craft together. Beyond working alongside me at weddings, she’s also my trusted second set of eyes before I deliver final galleries to clients, which speaks volumes about how much I value her perspective and attention to detail.
